March 2ko1
( IRAN to the SEYCHELLES )

Click the highlights on the map below and retake my journey. But, remember, you are a guest here and if you need a photo for your memoirs or exposé don’t take mine. Kipling’s “Elephant’s Child” (with satiable curtiosity) found “…the great gray-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever- trees”, on it’s own and so can you.

"It is difficult to summarize the many facets of Jözef's creativity. Forsaking his career in painting, he rose to the challenge of sculpture. Being both literal and metamorphic, his sculpture casts shadows from a different dimension. Sensitively yet ruthlessly, he shows us both the subject and a mind of tormented creator. Claws, protruding spines and twisted forms are outlined in a crimson patina. This subtle indication of blood opens a window to his, "mysterious injures." His art, like his life is characterized by a continual play of contrasts. Lovingly crafted yet revealing some haunted inner struggle. Perhaps the void left by a lost love?"

Judi Murray, director The Danada Sculpture Gardens

The girls were playing 5-card stud in the lobby by the park.

In separate rooms they sat together in the dark.

She turned to him and he felt a spark.....

..........that tingled to his bone.
He could see that she lived alone.
A lil confused as she stroked her cat.
......it looked bald from where he sat.

So, when he signed in he changed his mark.

Delilah had two queens but folded for the Lark.

Now, Squeezer's pain is like a corkscrew to his heart.

........in his mind Jözef neither honors nor forgives. Pardon Jözef, with his hat in his hand and boots on his feet.....watch out....or he'll send one up your seat. The honorable Jözef, who is always looking for new china, will make the butchers round, yet at best leaves you with a hole to get sick in. Jözef with his picture book of golden trash keys counterfeits postcards of Ed Pashke's. Jözef the egomaniac, Jözef the island, Jözef the artist who has no history can't look back. Jözef, who wants me so bad that he spent last summer sniffing drainpipes and reciting the alphabet.

.......in walks fortune, in walks fame, in walks Marla. Affluent Marla, whose imitation of truth can make the ears fall off your face, hides her earthly possessions in the alleyway of her Bipolar mansion. Popular Marla whose honesty lies somewhere between Jupiter and a cup of coffee, gives so much away for free that she deserves another draft choice. Marla the tourist, Marla the placebo, Marla the artist memorizes the politics of her ancient history. Marla, the little scratch on the roof of my mouth, that would heal if only I would stop tonguing it.

PS
April come she will, when streams are ripe and swelled with rain.
May she will stay, resting in my
arms again.
June she'll change her tune, in restless walk she'll prowl the night.
August die she must, the autumn winds blow chilly and cold.
September I remember a love once new
has now grown old.

Aqua! Aqua! [ with a Spanish accent] She is so hard to recognize on the dark side of her bedroom. Pee-king through her keyhole you can see the walls are painted pee-green. Can you see through the door on your knees? Tweeter began fighting with her inner twin, "The Iron Chef". Valentino, the black lab came streaming in. Too late! The waters had moved and they were both eaten by denizens of the deep. Neither is going to heaven and those in hell are fearful that she would just take over.

4:00 in the morning, it's still dark. You can find her upstairs on the little verdana, getting juice from her smoking carrot. Aahhh. Don't wake her up, she'll just want me to talk and I'm too busy listening with my heart. Let her walk. Let her walk to the sea. Then she'll look straight ahead, not at me. No man who sees her F2F lives to talk about it. Ooooh. She eats but is not satisfied; her thirst is bodacious too. You can hear Sadie's heart beat in', like a parrot in a cage. Buena Sera, still waiting for the spring to come? Hmmm.

"PURPLE AND BLUE" will be exhibited as part of Pier Walk 2000, the world's largest outdoor sculpture exhibition. 's sculpture will be set on Chicago's historic Navy Pier, from May 10 through November 6.

Lura Lynn Ryan, First Lady of Illinois, Maggie Daley, First Lady of Chicago, Shirley Madigan, Chairman of the Illinois Arts Council, Lois Weisberg, Commissioner, Dept. of Cultural Affairs, City of Chicago will host the reception honoring the artists of Pier Walk. At the Crystal Garden, Navy Pier, terrace D,' May 10, 2000, 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

What was it she wanted instead?

Upon returning from his Mexican sabbatical, learned of the saccharine tragedy. There was an explosion in the Finish Pie Factory. Tweeter, "pit bull in a skirt", once had the verbal metabolism of a hummingbird but now was baked. Pope John Paul II is not considering sainthood; artist laughed his ass off!

No sooner had the artist let go his grin, like a piece of bad yellow tail the spirit of Tweeter's basement reentered him. When he asked, "Who sent for you?" She answered with her thumb. He offered her his hand; she took him by the arm. knew that very instant, the mother of Archie's kid meant to do him harm.

Attempting to preserve the swelling, Sara of Ipanema anoints undeserving strangers. However, the precious ointment from her lavender jar could not penetrate the artist. Together they are seperate. His scar remains hidden deep in the lining of his skin. Gnashing and weeping she's not feeling his pain. Premature life is its own ransom.

UPDATE MARCH 2000

Leap year day, February 29, 9:30, am. "The thing that should not be," is undone. The delicate operation was performed at the drive through of Lutheran General Hospital by the acquaintances of Dr. Wilhelm, the Hoosier. Sara the poet, who continues to love outside the law, celebrated by carving her Byzantine initials inside the artist.

Forty days and forty nights the unwashed Tweeter Weed produced avocado pizzas but Bogarded, the chocolate cake. , not understanding the southpaw avoids her right. Tweeter's knowledge is like a blood transfusion that has sent him to the home of battered artists. He continues to give up.

Wall Rabbit will be exhibited at the Evanston Art Center as part of the 2000 Evanston and Vicinity, 15th Biennial Exhibition. The Center for Visual Arts is located at 2603 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL. 60201. The opening reception will be Sunday, March 12, from 2 - 4 pm. The exhibition will continue through May 10, 2000. UPDATE
JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2000

The new millennium brings the artist horrifying news. The goddess Tweeter, a single mother with two personalities lies about the lunar surface. She eats breakfast every 20 minutes and hates figurative art so much that she and several small ZB's made an impression on .

He then received this negative predication from Dr. Armen Kelikian renowned surgeon and mastermind of the Spanish Inquisition; "Those limbs will never play the piano".

New Year's resolution: "To be more illusive."

Undaunted, the vertically challenged sculptor, completed a maquette of "Purple and Blue" for the exhibition, Pier Walk 2000. The maquette will be displayed in the lobby of the State of Illinois Building from January 24 through February 4, 2000. The opening reception will be held in the main atrium of the State of Illinois Building, in Chicago and will be hosted by the Capital Development Board of Illinois. This year's juror will be Beej Nierengaten-Smith, Ed.D., Director of Laumeier Sculpture Park and Museum in St. Louis, Missouri.

UPDATE DECEMBER 1999

HE WHO BREAKS THE RULES GOES BACK TO THE HOUSE OF PAIN

After returning to his studio to celebrate Pearl Harbor Day, was waylaid. People without an appreciation for his art tried to recycle the artist. however took comfort from the knowledge that the screws and brackets used to reattach his limbs were only temporary and that with a morphine drip you can dial-up anything from a cup of coffee to a trip to Pluto.

"The memory of this experience will only strengthen my understanding of sculpture."

UPDATE NOVEMBER 1999

www.warptime.net

Sadly while traveling through the Andes was lost. From September 25, 1998 on, all communication from the sculptor stopped.

More than a year passed. There were reports that he had been brainwashed by a tribe of Finnish pie makers.

He was eventually found in Key West, Florida. Though suffering a partial memory loss, great progress has been made. After living for months on a strict diet of dinner rolls and sangria, a full recovery is expected. plans to return to his studio and resume sculpting (right after Halloween week 1999).
